GRAPPLING
The art of control, technique, and intelligence.

Grappling is a modern combat sport that focuses on submissions, takedowns, and ground control — a true test of skill and strategy.
Unlike striking-based martial arts, Grappling emphasizes leverage, timing, and precision over strength, allowing athletes of all ages to develop both mind and body.

Under UWW regulations, Grappling includes both Gi (with kimono) and No-Gi (without kimono) styles. Competitors aim to gain points through dominant positions and submissions while demonstrating control and technical mastery.

Grappling builds focus, balance, and confidence — qualities that go far beyond the mats.

PANKRATION
The ancient spirit of combat reborn.

Pankration is one of the world’s oldest martial arts, revived through modern international rules. It combines striking and grappling techniques, allowing athletes to compete safely while showcasing the full spectrum of human combat ability.
It was practiced by ancient warriors and Olympic athletes, symbolizing courage, endurance, and respect.

Modern Pankration under UWW standards emphasizes discipline and control. Strikes, throws, and ground techniques are allowed within regulated limits, making it an ideal foundation for complete martial development.

By practicing Pankration, athletes connect with Armenia’s historic warrior traditions — learning to balance power with humility.

AMATEUR MMA
Modern, complete, and internationally recognized.

Amateur Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) represents the evolution of combat sports — combining the best techniques from Grappling, Pankration, Boxing, Wrestling, and Judo.
It develops athletes who are well-rounded, disciplined, and capable of adapting in any combat situation.

Under UWW’s official amateur rules, the sport focuses on safety, respect, and sportsmanship — preparing athletes for international competition while maintaining fairness and educational value.

Through Amateur MMA, Armenian athletes build the physical and mental strength to compete among the best in the world.
